Indianapolis sports are a year round event here and currently basketball is at a fever pitch in downtown Indianapolis. (Puns, sorry. I love them.)

Our local WNBA team the Indiana Fever has really stepped up their game plan this year. Not only have they put a great emphasis on the importance of role models for kids (girls especially) the have really tried to make Fever games one of the most family friendly (and wallet friendly) things to do in Indianapolis.

There are four games scheduled through the end of July, the next two games having additional special promotions going on that will make the games even more fun.

Wednesday July 15th is Kid's Day and the Fever will be playing Chicago Sky in an afternoon game. There will be special concourse activities for kids of all ages like face painters and magicians, and Fever cheer sticks to the first 3,000 fans to the game.

Friday the 17th is an evening game against Atlanta Dream, fans that donate a new backpack or school supply to the game on July 17 will receive a complementary Pepsi product. Items collected will be donated to an IPS school in Marion County.

Tuesday the 28th is another evening game against Washington Mystics and on Thursday the 30th is the final home game in July in the evening against Connecticut Sun.

Of all the events in Indianapolis that will expose our kids to teamwork and sportsmanship the Indiana Fever is one of the best on a budget.
