I love Broad Ripple.

Anytime I visit a new city I try to find the Broad Ripple. Back in my home town of Salt Lake my favorite neighborhood was called Sugarhouse. With shopping, green space, eclectic dining and local art bursting about, I. love. Broad Ripple.

Before we had even decided on moving here we were in downtown Indianapolis when I asked a cop where we should live if we decided to move here. "Broad Ripple" was his reply. My first though? "What a dumb name."

So let's talk this Tuesday, July 28th. Tuesday is the night before hump day, far enough from the weekend to feel blah but not close enough to the next weekend to get excited. Well Broad Ripple park stepped it up with possibly one of the finest free events in Indianapolis this Tuesday.  The White River Jazz Band will be playing a free show at the park from 7-9 pm. Dog friendly and kid friendly it's sure to be a lovely summer Tuesday evening out with the family.
