*ahem*
The Indianpolis Zoo does a great job of bringing in special exhibits to expose us Midwesterners to a whole assortment of animals, also keeping the zoo updated and ever changing. Last summer brought koala bears while this summer Komodo Dragons (by way of Denver) are prowling around in the Plains area of the zoo through Labor Day.

(kind of intimidating to know that guy up there could take you and your entire family down right?)
I'm not going to lie, with the new splash park they installed last year we rarely make it past the flamingos. But for the chance to see the WORLD'S LARGEST REPTILE (the closest thing we may ever see to dragons) it's worth it to save the splash park for last. (Because honestly? You can't go to the Indianapolis Zoo in summer without running through the splash park.)
Now quit dragon (!) your tail to the same old park. Head to downtown Indianapolis and take your monkeys to the zoo.
