I'm pretty bummed about all the activities and events taking place this weekend in Indianapolis. I know that's an odd statement, but I'm bummed because there are two that I really want to take part in and I'm not going to be able to make it happen. It's summer vacation and this probably won't be the last weekend I'll have a struggle to figure out what I'll put at the top of my list of things to do in Indianapolis.

You see the first event I was planning on attending this weekend was the Hometeam Celebrity Softball Challenge at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis. I wrote about the event over on I Choose Indy when I first heard about it a couple of weeks ago. It's a7-inning softball game to benefit the Indiana Children's Wish Fund, with players from a variety of Indy's professional sports teams and media personalities.

Also happening this weekend is the Mt. Comfort Air Show at the Mt. Comfort Airport. My family has loved attending this event ever since we attended the first time. There's some great planes to see fly as well as loads of other planes parked on the tarmac that you can get up-close to and take great photos. Casey went last year and took some great photos of her own experience.

Here's my challenge. My weekend is taken up with baseball games with my son down on the south side of Indianapolis. He has a game Saturday morning at 9am. I had hoped to make it to the Celebrity Softball Challenge that night, but now we may have a double-header Saturday evening. If we don't have the double-header he plays his game Sunday afternoon, which knocks out the air show for both Saturday and Sunday. We'll just play it by ear and see what happens. Either way, lots of fun will happen this weekend regardless.

That's what makes it Positively Indy!
