Like to go fast? I mean really fast.
Quarter-mile in 4.5 seconds fast. More than 325 mph.
So yea.... that's fast.
How about a spectator seat?
A party today on Monument Circle kicked off the NHRA Mac Tools Nationals at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis. Now in Indianapolis, no race is any old race event. And this is the biggest, oldest, richest and most prestigious drag race in the world. Right here in Indy, since 1961.
Now, I'm not sure how you feel - but reaching speeds of 325 mph, almost instantaneously? Well, truthfully, it makes me a bit queasy. I was at Cedar Point earlier this month and I watched their coaster Top Thrill Dragster, go 0-120 mph in 4 seconds. I could hardly see them, but I couldn't get enough. Of the watching. Then I rode the Wicked Twister, launching 0-72 mph. Sounds wimpy by comparison, doesn't it? I assure you, it didn't feel wimpy. But three-hundred-and-twenty-five miles per hour? I sure would love to experience that! From the spectator seats.
Ya know, just a thought. If you're out looking for things to do in Indianapolis this weekend!

I was on the phone (in our office on the Circle) with a client... and they could hear the engines! Crazy. Indianapolis takes pride in our speed...., "hot, nasty, bad-____ speed." (c) Ricky Bobby
