I saw Coldplay.
Live.
At Verizon Wireless.
PAVILLION STYLE!
Best. Concert. Ever. (Jealous?)
Whether it was Chris Martin and his stunning good looks or the fact that they gave away FREE CDs to the attendees... that concert was ahhh-mazing. <sigh>
And if there is one thing I love more than jammin out to the Viva la Vida tracks on my sweet new iPod (thanks friends) it is going to live concerts all summer long in Indy. We have SUPERB venues here! Everything from Verizon Wireless Music Center to the Murat to the Lawn at the White River State Park, Indianapolis really knows how to put on a show for its music lovers.
If you need the 411 on future concerts... go to our website and search by venue, artist or date. Or go to Live Nation's website.
And for you travelers, why not make a whole weekend trip out of it?! Need a place to crash after screaming your lungs out to all your favorite jams? Click here to book your Indianapolis hotel.
Need some grub before or after the concert? Check out our Indianapolis restaurant listing.
OR if you're still running rampid from your concert excitement... check out some of Indianapolis' great hot spots for the night owl. Because let's be honest, if you're coming to Indy for a concert... you might as well make a whole trip out of it!
So... here's your to-do list.
1. Check out the amazing concerts going on in Indy.
2. Check out the sweet hotel deals.
3. Scope out the late night after-party spots to continue the fun.
Done. Done. And Done. :)

Breena's post about the Coldplay show at the Verizon Wireless Music Center was right on. The whole night exceeded my expectations in every way. Chris Martin and the rest of the group have an incredible stage presence and make every corner of the venue feel like they are up close. Coldplay setup a mini stage in the lawn and played a few songs and a Beatles cover. The night was great and the free live CD was a great bonus too! The opening act was Snow Patrol. These guys have headlined their own show here on the White River Lawn before and it was spectacular. I would highly recommend visiting a locally owned record shop and picking up "Eyes Open" and "Final Straw." There are so many other great shows coming to town this summer, and Livenation is waiving their ridiculous service charges today and next Wednesday. I definitely plan on buying up tickets without the additional $15 per ticket fee. Until next time, keep Indy beautiful, peaceful, and one of the best cities in the country. -Bryan (listening to my free Coldplay CD now)
