So, Monday was the Chinese New Year, officially ushering in the Year of the Ox and marking the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays.  Experience the spirit of this ancient culture this weekend - Saturday night - in downtown Indianapolis during "Divine Performing Arts: Chinese New Year Spectacular" at the Murat Theatre.

From performing arts to visual arts, continue your tour of the Orient in Indy with a stop at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, one of the nation's largest and most significant collections of Asian art featuring more than 400 works of art spanning 4,000 years.  One of the major highlights is an encyclopedic collection of Chinese art, including ancient bronze ritual vessels, jades, ceramics, textiles and paintings, with special strength in paintings of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
