One of my very favorite annual events in Indianapolis is the Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival a.k.a IndyFringe.  The event kicked off last Friday and runs through this weekend at five performing arts venues along (or near) Mass Ave, as well as an outdoor stage offering free performances at the Indianapolis Historic Fire Museum and Memorial (748 Mass Ave). To be sure, this is not your grandmother's theater experience - the performances are cutting edge, contemporary and provocative.  With no less than 135 different performances left on the schedule, there's still lots of opportunities to check it out.

Tonight, a friend and I are hitting up the Phoenix Theatre to see "The Honeymoon Suite," which looks...intriuging.  The show's description tells us theater-goers to 'prepare to be plunged into a netherworld of dreams and desire as these transcontinental lovebirds take on romance and rock'n'roll from behind the iron curtain to create a hypnotic, thought provoking and hugely entertaining Kabaret Noir."  Awesome!!

Check back tomorrow for my review of "The Honeymoon Suite" and share your own reviews of this show or any other's you've seen during IndyFringe.  OK - off I go a-fringing...
