Just learned of a new Starwood standard for their Sheraton products.  The "Link @ Sheraton" will be implemented in our two Indianapolis properties (Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre and Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites) before the end of this year.

My first take is that it appears that they are essentially taking some of the technology that is normally provided in a typical concierge lounge (free WiFi, data ports, workstations) and dropping it into an area in their lobby for all guests to use.  There are a few rendering photos on the Sheraton website as well a brief overview of the concept.

I'm told that the Sheraton City Centre will be reworking the area of their lobby between the Starbucks and the main entrance to the hotel.  Plans have not been finalized, but it is possible that they will also rework their lobby bar area as part of this change as well.  Not necessarily a bad thing since the bar has always felt a bit closed off from the rest of the lobby with the half wall that is there.

I haven't had a chance to touch base with the Sheraton Hotel & Suites up at Keystone at the Crossing yet to see where they will drop their Link @ Sheraton but will provide updates as I learn more.
