Meetings & Conventions magazine did a nice feature article on 6 walkable convention cities in their latest issue. In addition to Indianapolis they featured San Diego, Denver, San Antonio, (all similar in size) and also Providence, and Savannah (both a bit smaller). You can click the map below to see the full size version of the image they used in the article.
It comes as no surprise to me to see these cities listed together. If you throw in Baltimore or Philadelphia to cover the east coast, a number of clients immediately come to mind that have discovered that this list of locations makes for a nice pool of cities to include in their regular rotation as they move their conference around the country from year to year. In fact, I just met with a client today that is headed to Denver this fall, coming to Indy in 2009 and then they are off to Baltimore in 2010…
