White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis, the new Marriott Place hotel construction is progressing very nicely and quickly shooting into the Indianapolis skyline.

The new hotel complex will be bringing a lot more to Indianapolis than just a change to the skyline. Once completed the city will have an additional 1626 guest rooms available for attendees of conventions booked at the expanding Indianapolis Convention Center currently under construction to the immediate southeast, across the corner.

Located next door to Victory Field, the Eiteljorg Museum, NCAA Hall of Champions, Indiana State Museum and across the street from the expanding convention center, this group of properties will continue to attract and expand the number of visitors and possibilities for the city.

The Marriot Place will consist of four hotel properties:
In addition to the hotels the site will bring back the TGI Friday's restaurant to the property as well as a large ballroom and skywalks to connect all the hotels to the convention center.

This connection of additional rooms will bring the total count for rooms connected to the convention center and downtown area to 4,700. That is the most connected rooms of any city in the United States.
