Wow - I can't believe it's Friday already (which is not to say that I'm not looking forward to the weekend!).  Time for another trip idea courtesy of your Indy Trip Planner.  Unfortunately, I'm dealing with two sick kids at home (OK, OK...one of those kids is my husband, but still) and I'm not sure that our family is going to have much of a weekend other than recovering.  If we are able to get out and do anything, I'm afraid we're looking at pumpkin patch 2.0.  My kid could NOT get enough of that pumpkin-eating dinosaur last week at Waterman's...he's been talking about it literally all week.

But, there's still a slew of fun stuff going on in the Circle City over the course of the next few days.  And, we've come to the point in October where the calendar is filled with all kinds of Halloween happenings.

Put on your best Halloween costume (and dress the kids up, too!), and mix and mingle with the residents of the Indianapolis Zoo during their annual Halloween ZooBoo event.  Everyone will have a blast with pumpkin bowling, a hay maze, monster music, bounce house, trick-or-treat stations and themed animal shows.  It's a spooktacular (sorry - can't help myself) time.  Click here for additional details about time, admission, etc.

For a more frightful experience, head up to Conner Prairie for Headless Horseman.  Take a haunted wagon ride through the dark, vast expanses of Conner Prairie and find out for yourself if the Legend of Sleepy Hallow is folklore or fact - if you dare.  But, be on the lookout because the spooky ghost of the Headless Horseman is known to make an appearance.  Other fun stuff: live music, storytelling around a campfire, festival food and a live, nightly staging of "The Legend of Sleeping Hallow."  Ticket prices and hours are here.

Have a fun and safe weekend enjoying Indianapolis!
